Terrariums are practically maintenance free or require very low care. However, we would like you to keep in mind the below tips to ensure the terrarium is self-sustaining.
Always place the terrarium under bright indirect sunlight. Make sure to never place it in direct sunlight as the heat will burn the plants. Well lit indoors and office spaces are sufficient for a terrarium as well.
If you wish to use artificial light, then place it under the led lamp/light for 4 to 6 hours per day.
A closed terrarium recycles moisture inside the container. On achieving perfect humidity, it can go up to months and even years without watering. Condensation is a sign of healthy terrarium.
If the condensation is too much, then open the lid for few hours, if the condensation is less then spray a little water (RO Water) but do not to over do it.
Keep the terrariums at room temperature. Avoid keeping them next to heat source or appliances/devices that radiate heat.
Remove any dead or fallen leaves and occasionally prune the overgrown plants. Clean the glass on the inside and outside as and when required.
“A terrarium is visual proof that life can thrive even when cut off from the outside world. That we always find ways to adapt, stay alive and thrive in our own world.” - Anonymous
